Rev. Douglas E. Wilson - Pastor
Pastor Douglas F. Wilson, was born in Baltimore in August, 1956 and lived in Canton, in Baltimore City.
He joined the Galilee Baptist Church in the Spring of 1977, under the Pastorship of the late Rev. Shirley Ranson. Here, he began a work for Christ.

He served as president of the Ranson Choral Ensemble for two years.
In February of 1982, he was voted as a Trustee, where he served
faithfully for over two years. He was then put on trial for Deacon in
July, 1984, and ordained February, 1985.
Rev. Wilson was called to the Ministry and licensed in 1986. He
preached his Initial Sermon on November 23, 1986, entitled, “In The
World, But Not of The World!” (Romans 12:2)
He was ordained by the late Rev. Dr. Lorenzo Graves, witnessed by a host of Pastors, congregations, family and friends.
He served as Interim Pastor from August, 1989 to his election as Pastor, on June 22, 1990.
He is the husband of Violia, his wife and has 2 children, (now married), a son and daughter-in-law and 2 lovely granddaughters.
Pastor Wilson received his education in Baltimore City schools (Canton and Patterson High School). He attended Arundel Institute of Technology, for electronics.
He has received numerous certifications, awards and credits for various technical courses throughout the United States.
He also attended Howard community College, and Arlington Bible College and Institute where he received his AA and BA in Biblical Studies.
He has been pastoring the Galilee Baptist Church since 1990 to present. He desires that the church would be a Matthew 28:19 Church, which says: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
